How it works
Drop a spot and a time to surf with friends or get clips. Your crew can tap “I'm down” or “I'll film.”
Raw photos and clips, filmer always credited. Everyone in the community sees them.
Jump between area rooms and ask the locals how it's looking.
Events by area with RSVP and add-to-calendar.
Someone you surf with brought you in. No strangers, no algorithm—just surfers who actually ride together.

One quick, plain-English agreement. No legal maze.
Sodium is a private place to help friends surf, film, and meet up more—and spend a little less time on Instagram. It has no advertising or ad targeting.
We save what is needed to run Sodium: your email, profile details and photo, surf plans, posts, messages, reactions, and anything you choose to upload. Sign-in and preferences are also stored on your device.
Your information is used to operate, protect, and improve this community. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles. Supabase and Cloudflare provide the hosting used to run Sodium.
Signed-in Sodium members can see the profile information and community content you share. Treat the app like the lineup: do not post someone else's private information or footage without permission.
Sodium is not a forecast, emergency, or safety service. Surf plans can change. Conditions, locations, and decisions remain your responsibility.
Joining is optional. You must be at least 13. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has given you permission to use Sodium.
By continuing, you confirm that you read and understand this notice and agree to the community rules.
Continue with Google or use one email code.
One last tap verifies this sign-in. Afterward, this browser stays signed in.
Finish this once, then Sodium keeps you signed in on this phone.
Now sessions clear after 18 hours. Planned sessions stay visible through their scheduled surf.

Member discounts for surf gear, prints, and projects worth supporting.
In the spirit of Shaun Tomson's Surfer's Code: watch out for other surfers, pass along the stoke, and honor surfing.
No popularity contest. Points come from surfing, filming, sharing, and showing up for the crew.
Member-only discounts, prints, merch, and comp entries. We’ll turn redemption on as the community grows and rewards are ready to fulfill.
The current Saltyviewfinder and WATA store discounts are available to every member—no points required.Posting, editing, or starting a surf does not award points. When the organizer taps the red Stop surf control, the organizer and everyone still RSVP’d receive their points once. A cancelled surf disappears and awards nothing.
Complete any qualifying activity on a new day to add one to your streak. More activity on the same day still earns its normal points, but only counts as one active day.
If more than seven days pass without a qualifying activity, the next active day starts the streak over at one. The flame in the header shows your current streak.
Points and streaks reward real participation—not likes, followers, or scrolling.Checking this device…
